Understanding Trauma Awareness

Why Trauma Awareness Matters Trauma can affect how people think, feel, and respond to the world around them. Without awareness, services can unintentionally create environments that feel unsafe or overwhelming.Becoming trauma aware helps organisations to Build trust and strengthen relationships. Create safer, more supportive environments. Improve communication and understanding. Respond with compassion rather than judgement. Support both staff and those accessing services

MY APPROACH

My work is grounded in lived experience and peer-to-peer support. I bring a human, compassionate approach that connects understanding with real-life experience.

I aim to create safe, respectful spaces where people feel able to reflect, learn, and grow in confidence. My approach is not about blame or criticism, but about increasing awareness and making meaningful, positive changes.
